About The Position

The Logistics Technician at Ammo, Inc. is responsible for managing the shipping and receiving processes to ensure the efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role involves inspecting materials, verifying documentation, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records, all while delivering exceptional service to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in shipping and/or receiving material.
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, manager, and other departments.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • PLEX experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify material and related documentation as prescribed by purchase orders or contract specifications.
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
  • Affix shipping labels on crates to identify shipping information.
  • Package items to protect and stabilize cargo for safe arrival.
  • Collect pertinent data from customers regarding shipping and receiving.
  • Collaborate and communicate with necessary parties in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Ensure accuracy of information on collected shipping forms for export approval and commercial invoices.
  • Find serial numbers, part numbers, and descriptions for shipping and receiving needs.
  • Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sorting and stocking receivables.
  • Maintain accurate shipping/receiving destination and email records for customers and clients.
  • Work with UPS/FedEx representatives to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
  • Track, trace, and update packages after shipments and coordinate delivery with customers.
  • File, store, and organize shipping documents and commercial invoices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company-specific products.
  • Inspect and organize received packages.
  • Maintain a clean and visitor-ready area.
  • Engage with vendors and drivers positively.
  • Distribute and deliver packages to recipients.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Provide additional backup support as needed.
