Position Overview: The general responsibilities for the Logistics Technician are to unload, load, and transfer the various products that are manufactured and used at the Houston plant in a manner that is safe and environmentally sound. The various products include, spent acid, fresh acid, oleum, sulfur dioxide, and sulfur.

Requirements

Transportation Worker’s Identification Credentials (TWIC)
Mariner’s Certifications (Barge Tankerman’s License) with 3+ years' experience AND/OR 3+ years logistics experience loading/unloading tank trucks, railcars AND/OR Dock Person in Charge (PIC) with 3+ years' experience
Safe work attitude
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

Transfer materials to or from process tanks, barges, rail cars, tank trucks, and other specified containers
Opening valves, pressuring up tank cars, loading fresh acid, operating pumps, monitoring tank levels, & inspection reports
Reviewing/Writing procedures
Completing work permits
Conducting safety meetings
Comply with all department, plant and corporate HSE policies and rules
Comply with all regulatory agency requirements
Participate in regular safety and toolbox meetings
Participate in HAZOPs and PSUSRs as required
Maintain high area housekeeping standards
Write and follow up on Safety Work Orders
Be well-versed in and compliant with all SOPs
