About The Position

The Logistics Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient execution of daily operations related to transportation, scheduling, and inventory management. Working under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, this role helps ensure timely pick-up and delivery of donations, accurate inventory movement, and well-maintained spaces for program and community use.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of experience in logistics, warehouse, or delivery work preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, donors, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically active environment.
  • Passion for community service and alignment with the organization’s mission.
  • Problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies and participate in weekly on-call rotation
  • Must be comfortable operating Forklifts, 14 Passenger Mini-Bus, Lawn Equipment, Box Truck, Scissor Lift, etc. (training provided).
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management systems, or fleet management tools is a plus.
  • Fork Lift Certification preferred but not required (on-the-job certification provided)

Responsibilities

  • Transportation and Delivery Support Drive and maintain organization vehicles to complete scheduled donation pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Track mileage and usage according to protocols.
  • Assist in unloading, sorting, cleaning, storing, and disctribution of all donated essential goods and supplies (both purchased and donated).
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space as well as all inventory and supplies spaces.
  • Follow inventory procedures and ensure donations are processed properly.
  • Train and supervise warehouse guests and volunteers in all inventory processes.
  • Assist with setting up and tear down rooms & spaces for staff meetings and events.
  • Ensure spaces are clean, equipped, and ready for use.
  • Follow established logistics procedures and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members and volunteers as directed.
  • Participate in the weekly on-call rotation and respond to after-hour needs.
