About The Position

The Logistics Technician position at Dexian Signature Federal is a critical role that involves managing and tracking the lifecycle of equipment within the customer network. This position requires a proactive approach to logistics operations, ensuring that all equipment additions and removals are accurately reported to the procurement team for updates to the maintenance equipment list. The technician will be responsible for developing and maintaining the logistics team's processes and procedures, which are essential for efficient operations. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the development and monitoring of the logistics team's training plans, ensuring that all team members are adequately prepared for their responsibilities. In this role, the Logistics Technician will monitor and report on the fulfillment of requirements for various customer reporting systems, including Confluence, SharePoint, and HelpNow. The technician will also assist logistics leads in managing worldwide logistics operations and provide support for customer supply chain management review audits. A significant aspect of the job involves contributing to process improvement initiatives, which are vital for enhancing operational efficiency. As a custodial property officer (CPO), the technician will approve equipment transfers for hub and tail sites and assist the contract configuration management team with configuration management requirements. The technician will also be involved in developing site inventory plans and monitoring the status of inventory, ensuring that all equipment is properly tracked and documented throughout its lifecycle. This includes tracking the disposal of equipment and ensuring that all documentation is completed according to established requirements. The Logistics Technician will collaborate regularly with site personnel to maintain consumable property stock levels and will track, trace, and update the status of shipments as needed. The role requires successful completion of all assigned training and may involve travel of up to 30% of the year to manage equipment at remote locations. Additionally, the technician will establish and maintain a hardware and software maintenance database, ensuring that historical document records are accurately kept.
