Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for the Logistics Team Lead position to manage/oversee the logistics operations including but not limited to shipping, receiving, and all other distribution activities at our Atlanta-West facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the logistics team including Dock Coordinators, Customer Service Representatives, and Fork Truck Operators, this individual must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. The role will require strong leadership and communication skills as well as the ability to effectively influence peers. The employee must demonstrate and sustain proficiency in the areas of Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Production and Cost. Hourly Rate: $41.44. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package. In this role, you will: Logistics Operations Support daily shipping and receiving tasks. Coordinate with local third parties including trucking companies, raw material warehouse personnel, distribution centers, vendors, etc. Communicate delays or issues to internal teams. Liaise with other departments including operations and quality to align on processes. Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies. Develop new processes to clear roadblocks and enable the team to work more efficiently. Create SOPs for new procedures and ensure team is adhering to them. Coordinate all forklift maintenance services. Backfill Dock Coordinator and Customer Service Representative Team members as needed. Attend campus meetings with third parties to ensure business needs are being met. Problem solve when issues arise in the logistics department. Team Leadership Supervise and motivate logistics team members: Dock Coordinators, Customer Service Representatives, FTOs. Provide training on processes, equipment use, and safety procedures. Train new team members. Monitor team performance and provide feedback or coaching. Ensure team compliance with company policies and regulations. Assign tasks to warehouse staff and monitor progress. Monitor Dock Coordinator and Customer Service Representative work to ensure information is being uploaded/tracked properly Inventory Oversight/Management. Order raw materials on time and empower other team members to do the same. Oversee the yard capacity and ensure that we have enough materials to run production but not too much to cause operational issues on the campus. Provide clear communication to the team on new "SKU's" and material numbers being used. Safety and Compliance Treat safety and housekeeping as a non-negotiable. Participate in department safety incident investigations. Conduct daily safety checks of the work area and equipment. Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE. Report and address any safety incidents or hazards. Keep documentation up-to-date for audits and inspections. Ensure completion of all necessary safety action items relating to the logistics department. SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Support Designate inventory locations and provide feedback on system logic relating to inventory staging and processes. Train team members on EWM processes such as shipping, receiving, moving material within the warehouse. Investigate handling unit discrepancies to troubleshoot what EWM steps were missed. Assist in balancing inventory at the end of production runs. What we look for: Experience with SAP (preferably SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA), or similar inventory/shipping software. Preferred experience working in an environment that utilizes RF scanners. Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred. Writes and speaks clearly, concisely with candor and confidence.
