About The Position

Strong Hold is looking for an experienced Logistics Team Lead, or an accomplished shipping and receiving professional ready to take the next step in their career, to oversee daily production activities including monitoring efficiency, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety. This person’s primary focus will be to prepare and package orders for shipment, ensuring they are wrapped properly, labeled, and documented. They will also coordinate workflows, supervise team members, and troubleshoot issues while collaborating with management and other departments.

Requirements

  • 3 years of logistics experience.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing floor leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Teams and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • The Team Lead is responsible for distributing and assigning jobs to the production staff at the direction of the Work Lead.
  • Possess or obtain the skills required to be qualified for all positions on your team and be able to communicate and demonstrate those skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of the safety procedures for all jobs in their department and train team members on all safety rules.
  • Identify quality inconsistencies and promptly report them to the appropriate department for corrective action.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Unload and load trucks using a pallet jack.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders by comparing them to packing slips or manifests.
  • Utilize system to enter and track inventory data.
  • Perform order picking and packing using RF scanners.
  • Perform assigned administrative duties including overtime procedures.
  • Ensure work schedules are printed and posted prior to the start of the shift.
  • Maintain supplies for all operators at the beginning of each shift.
  • Communicate any needs to the supervisor and pick up orders as needed.
  • Complete written and verbal carryover to the oncoming Team Lead at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Step in to fill roles if workforce issues arise to ensure daily compliance is completed.
  • Take attendance and monitor absenteeism.
  • Discuss performance issues with team members and provide additional training to resolve the problem.
  • If the issue persists, communicate it through the chain of command.
  • Communicate through Outlook and Teams and provide reports in Excel.
