Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary Logistics Specialist/ Coordinator to provide support in The Woodlands, TX. Note:This is an approximate three-month assignment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of SAP TM/SD functions specifically focused in the areas of logistics master data, freight accruals, and payments is a plus.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of experience working with freight accrual and purchase order accrual systems.
- Must have an advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must have highly developed leadership, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Logistics/SAP experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Contribute to ERP system updates and implementations related to transportation management and freight accruals.
- Update and maintain various agreements and tables within our SAP/Oracle Transportation Management platform to ensure freight accrual accuracy.s
- Work within SAP/Oracle for timely creation of master data elements to facilitate efficient order processing, carrier assignments, and load tendering.
- Monitor and provide monthly reports on cost to serve and freight accrual performance.
- Work with 3rd party freight payables service provider and internal account's payables team as necessary to ensure efficient auditing, processing, and payment of vendor invoices
- Provide support and back-up coverage as needed to assist team of Logistics Specialists. This would include responding to delivery issues, checking carrier availability for urgent orders, resolution of damage complaints, etc.
- Tracks shipment details, locations, and estimated time of arrivals.
