ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for executing a wide range of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain support activities to ensure efficient operations. This role includes receiving and processing materials, managing inventory, preparing domestic and international shipments, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. In addition, the Logistics Support Specialist supports import/export operations and trade compliance by preparing documentation, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, coordinating with carriers and customs brokers, and maintaining accurate records. The specialist also utilizes SAP, ERP systems, Oracle, and Microsoft Office applications to track inventory, process transactions, generate reports, and communicate with suppliers and internal teams.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven reliability, consistency, and professional dependability.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and basic mathematical skills.
• Strong computer proficiency with inventory and supply chain management systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP and ERP software platforms.
• Experience preparing shipping documents and supporting import/export processes.
• Ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing 10–35 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move objects exceeding 100 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Required to always wear approved safety shoes.
• Must obtain forklift certification (training will be provided).
• Experience working with Microsoft Products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or material handling.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. trade regulations (CBP, EAR, ITAR) and global shipping requirements.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn and cross-train in multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and verifying incoming materials.
• Retrieve materials, pick orders, and accurately pack items for domestic and international shipment.
• Prepare parcels, create shipping labels, and stage orders in designated delivery areas.
• Organize materials by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or bins.
• Conduct cycle counts and full physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies and report variances.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse and work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
• Comply with all company safety policies, operational procedures, and quality standards.
• Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
• Support adherence to trade compliance regulations, including U.S. Customs (CBP), EAR, ITAR, and international shipping requirements.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to internal departments and external partners.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance reporting.
• Assist in resolving customs delays, documentation discrepancies, or shipment issues.
• involvement in import/export operations, trade compliance, and Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB) activities.
• Perform inventory and supply chain transactions using SAP, ERP systems, and Oracle.
• Process purchase requests, payment submissions, and materials transactions.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products to generate reports, track data, and communicate operational updates.
• Help maintain accurate inventory levels by monitoring stock movements and reporting shortages.
