About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor at Ryder is responsible for overseeing and coordinating logistics operations within the Supply Chain Solutions division. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with company standards, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The supervisor will also be accountable for performance metrics and will play a key role in employee development and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
  • 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
  • Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures for optimal team logistics.
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to monitor progress and performance.
  • Cultivate team spirit and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Carry out performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases.
  • Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
  • Implement health & safety and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Provide orientation and necessary resources for new employees.
