Requirements

3-5 years of shipping experience with LTL and common carriers
Warehouse experience in shipping and receiving environment
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organizational and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Manage special shipments for clients.
Perform freight estimates for LTL and common carriers using approved process.
Verify that air bills and bills of lading are filled out correctly when needed.
Monitor carriers to make sure they pick up the correct freight and packages.
Arrange transportation for vendors and for special package pick-ups.
Maintains shipping supply levels and notifies purchasing of restock items needed.
Monitor equipment performance
Investigate new carriers and shipment services; makes recommendations to management on use of new services and delivery options.
Provide research assistance to internal customers for problem shipments.
Actively participates in leadership training.
Commit to personal growth and leadership development.
Interface with carrier representatives for quoting and freight arrangements.
Meet with LTL and other carriers to discuss new services and options
