The warehouse supervisor is responsible for all facets of a Warehouse Distribution Center consisting of multiple cells and areas and shifts. This role includes supervising employees assigned to execute work to meet customer and supplier requirements/planning including all support functions, inventory control, packaging, and storage while meeting or exceeding objectives/actions defined to meet an approved financial budget. This may include employees on multiple shifts. The supervisor leads the team in implementing action plans and efforts to achieve the goals of the facility (policy deployment). They teach, coach, and mentor all employees to engage in teamwork and individual assignments focused on the application of the Autoliv Production System (APS) principles. Ensuring all employees are actively meeting all processes and standards to ensure safety is treated as the priority, and all rules and standards are being followed and improved is a key responsibility. The supervisor is also responsible for supporting the Manager in development, performance, and continuous improvement on all shifts of assigned cells/areas. They ensure execution of assigned roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members including follow up and corrective action of performance. The supervisor works to improve team members' capabilities through coaching, teaching, and appropriate tasks in collaboration with the site manager. They ensure that associates are adequately trained, that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner/environment, and that safety incidents are both reported and thoroughly investigated for root cause and effective corrective actions. Supporting a positive work environment, ensuring communication and feedback flows up, down, and across all levels and shifts/teams as needed, and working with the Site Manager to define adequate resources are also part of the role. The supervisor executes daily operations of a unit (work team) and actively assists or provides direction to team members as required utilizing established policies and procedures. They work with the site manager to execute employee-related activities, including employee relations, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Participation in employment issues where job action (such as formal discipline) may result, involving management and/or Human Resources as appropriate, is also required. The supervisor determines and requests resources as needed and executes to support all Manufacturing Plants with both inbound coordination of Raw Material and outbound coordination of FG's including applicable customer transactions, information flow, etc. Finally, they support management in the preparation of the annual financial budget and quarterly updates.
