About The Position

The Logistics Specialist at Amazon Web Services is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, processing shipments, and managing the logistics of parts transportation within the warehouse and data centers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence, as well as the ability to handle sensitive materials and operate various vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving box trucks up to 26' in length and operating a forklift or similar powered lifting equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a computerized Inventory Management System (IMS).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
• Ability to demonstrate process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments and verify inventory.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage the Inventory Management System.
• Transport parts between different locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or powered equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of workspaces.
• Handle sensitive/classified materials and ensure chain-of-custody processes are followed.
• Load and unload shipments and assist in transporting equipment.
