Requirements

• 1 year of related experience
• General understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry
• Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
• Experience in transportation planning
• Knowledge of shipping software (Oracle Transportation Management)
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment for daily transportation operations.
• Assist in developing, planning and modifying daily schedules, notifying customer service and operations manager about shipment status.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time, accurate, and satisfactory deliveries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipment discrepancies proactively.
• Enter data into the transportation management system and maintain required reports; process, audit, and file documentation.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and management to meet necessary requirements.
