Requirements

  • Working knowledge of DOT Hours of Operation compliance
  • Experience with SAP and TMW a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Ability to multi-task, willingness to learn new skills and enjoy new challenges
  • Accuracy and accountability are essential
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints and contribute to the team
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must be self-motivated and results driven with a passion for customer service
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced continually changing environment
  • Experience with CMC Logistics and Mill processes a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Obtain accurate information relating to site requirements, contacts, and expected delivery dates.
  • Track deliveries to ensure they’re on time
  • Collect POD’s from carriers for the billing needs of the customers
  • Foster strong business relationships with carriers and site personnel
  • Assist with development of best practices and coordination across LOB’s to support operational excellence
  • Ensure all jobs are completed in a proficient and safe manner
  • Coordinate with the mill and area fabrication shops to optimally schedule CMC dedicated and 3rd party trucks to deliver their load
  • Regularly communicate with the drivers, carriers, dispatchers, customers, and facility personnel to review any issues, challenges, or needs to ensure on time delivery and high levels of internal and external customer service
  • Work with fabrication dispatch personnel to fully optimize the CMC fleet when needed
