About The Position

Coordinate and execute logistics operations including shipping and receiving, mailroom services, facilities coordination, DoD property management, and records retention. Ensure compliance with federal and internal standards while maintaining accurate records and supporting cross-functional teams. Perform complex and varied tasks with moderate latitude and impact, contributing to the smooth operation of logistics and administrative functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or property management
  • Advanced organizational and prioritization skills
  • Advanced skill in maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Advanced skill in interpreting and applying logistics procedures and compliance standards
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced skill in using material handling tools and equipment, including pallet jacks
  • Advanced skill in interacting with staff, vendors, and stakeholders diplomatically and tactfully
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a logistics environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment

  • Must have valid drivers license

  • Familiarity with DoD property accountability requirements
  • Working knowledge of systems such as IMPAK, AMAG, and Iron Mountain Connect

Responsibilities

  • Respond to logistics requests by evaluating resources, coordinating with internal departments, and executing timely solutions
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; distribute items and maintain accurate records
  • Sort, process, and track incoming and outgoing mail; operate mailroom equipment and maintain supply levels
  • Manage Iron Mountain records retention activities, including supply ordering, pickup scheduling, and user account oversight
  • Track and maintain accountability for DoD-owned property; ensure compliance with asset management policies and conduct periodic audits
  • Submit and monitor facility maintenance requests via the IMPAK system; manage employee parking and facility access through AMAG
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for facilities-related tasks beyond lease coverage
  • Procure supplies and materials to support logistics, mailroom, and general operations
  • Maintain the company vehicle, including fueling, registration, and general upkeep
  • Identify areas for operational improvement; recommend and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Work autonomously within established procedures and practices
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and documentation for internal use and compliance purposes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
