About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military. As a Logistics Specialist, you prepare our logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll coordinate shipping activities which adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
  • Experience with inventory databases

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
  • HazMat Training/Certification
  • Ability to operate a Forklift
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record
  • Understanding of Shelf Life
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
