About The Position

The Logistics Specialist position at Amazon Data Services, Inc. involves managing inventory levels, processing shipments, and ensuring the efficient operation of logistics within the warehouse and data centers. Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
• Experience driving box trucks up to 26' in length and operating a forklift or similar powered lifting equipment.
• Valid state-appropriate driver's license and ability to obtain a Driver Qualification File (DQF) or Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Med Card and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Demonstrated process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments and verify inventory.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage an Inventory Management System.
• Transport parts between different locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or powered equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.
• Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
• Attend company-provided forklift operator training and complete training for driving box trucks up to 26' in length.
• Handle sensitive/classified materials.
