Global Support and Development is seeking to hire a Logistics Specialist! The position is full-time, in-person, and located at HQ in Charlotte, N.C.   • Accurately receive and inspect all inbound deliveries, meticulously documenting incoming goods within the inventory system.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in full-scale inventory audits to uphold data accuracy and integrity.
  • Execute all data entry tasks for inventory transactions, system updates, and reconciliations using GSD’s inventory management software.
  • Assist with various procurement activities, including the organization of purchase requests and acting as a liaison for supplier communications.
  • Prepare and stage shipments by handling packaging, labeling, and coordinating with the Transport team.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Proactively track and report inventory discrepancies and low stock levels to the Logistics Inventory Manager.
  • Coordinate inventory management across different regions and on the vessel MV DAWN to ensure balanced stock levels and product quality are maintained.
  • Support asset tagging, inventory audits, and the proper disposal of obsolete stock.
  • Create, maintain, and implement policies governing the use of all department vehicles and transport equipment.
  • Directly impact the department's operational efficiency and readiness, ensuring timely and effective response capabilities.
  • Model and champion GSD’s core values of accountability, humility, and integrity in all professional conduct.
  • Promote responsible stewardship of financial and other resources to maximize benefit for those impacted by or at risk of disaster.
  • Perform other assigned duties as assigned.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and data entry processes.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or coursework in supply chain or logistics preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain); OSHA or warehouse safety training is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident and effective written and verbal communication, to include presentation ability.
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of stakeholders to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA procedures.
  • Ability and motivation to learn industry specific skills.
  • Successful implementation of business management principles, organization structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting of stock levels, valuation, and cost allocation.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks.
  • Experience working and/or traveling domestically and internationally.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French desired.
  • Up to 25 days of accrued vacation
