About The Position

As a Logistics Specialist V, you will provide oversight and leadership for the logistics function. You will implement advanced logistics strategies, manage complex projects, and ensure top-tier compliance and efficiency in all logistics operations. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Master knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Progressive experience with inventory databases.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Expert proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates.
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • HazMat Training/Certification.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
  • Understanding of shelf life.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership for the logistics function.
  • Implement advanced logistics strategies to optimize processes and ensure top-tier compliance.
  • Oversee and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  • Manage the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
  • Ensure the highest level of adherence to import/export requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to Logistics Specialists at all levels, fostering professional development.
