About The Position

The Logistics Specialist Junior will assist in the implementation and maintenance of logistics systems to support operational objectives. This role is designed for individuals with limited experience who are looking to grow within the logistics field under the guidance of more senior staff.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 3 years in a logistics role within the DOD environment, with a focus on Integrated Logistics Support and System Life Cycle Support. Equivalent academic experience may be considered (1 academic year at an accredited college or university may substitute for 1 year of experience).
• Skills: Basic understanding of logistics operations, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Candidates must have an active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing material flow management systems to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, and training or safety records.
• Help resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, and customer inquiries.
• Monitor product import/export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
• Support the implementation of improvements to internal and external logistics systems and processes.
• Work under the supervision of more senior logistics personnel, performing assigned functional duties.
