About The Position

The Logistics Specialist II role involves preparing logistics documentation for various materials and equipment, coordinating shipping logistics, and maintaining records of inventory. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulations and proper allocation of storage facilities within the ISR, Aviation, and Security business area, which specializes in high-performance aviation systems and logistics support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
• Experience with inventory databases.
• Current/valid passport and ability to obtain a visa for international travel.
• Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
• HazMat Training/Certification.
• Ability to operate a Forklift.
• Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
• Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
• Understanding of Shelf Life.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Responsibilities

• Prepare logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals.
• Route, document, and coordinate shipping logistics.
• Maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
• Track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.
• Coordinate shipping activities in compliance with state, federal, and global regulations.
