The Logistics Specialist I is responsible for material shipping, receiving and processing according to company policies and procedures. Ensures the orderly stocking and efficient flow of both inbound and outbound materials / products. Maintains and updates the purchase order system as shipments are received, cancelled or back ordered. Manages inventory by developing material schedules, ordering new / replacement materials and ensuring effective coordination with purchasing, production and engineering. Ensures documentation is up-to-date and reflective of material orders, deliveries, storage and distribution.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with Logistics concepts, practices and methodologies.
• With guidance, performs basic Logistics duties, including: Receiving incoming deliveries, Verifying purchase orders against the Oracle database, Delivering incoming mail and packages, Collecting outgoing mail and packages, Loading and unloading truck deliveries, Shipping packages, Verifying identifying information on bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders and other records.
• Learns and complies with Logistics practices and policies.
• Observes all company safety standards and requirements.
• Assists with special projects as assigned.
