About the position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities in data centers.
  • Receive parts, verify inventory, and own chain-of-custody processes for Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
  • Load and unload shipments and transport parts between different locations.
  • Drive a variety of motorized vehicles, including box trucks up to 26' in length.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years' of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 6 months experience driving box trucks up to 26' in length.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift or similar type of powered lifting equipment.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience using a computerized Inventory Management System (IMS).
  • Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices.
  • Demonstrated process improvement and operational efficiencies.
