Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • 3+ years of logistics experience supporting military or DoD environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Military Logistics terminology and processes, including: Hand receipts National Stock Numbers (NSNs) Tool identification and numbering systems Supply Support Activity documentation
  • Experience maintaining inventory control, stock records, and supply documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ability to learn Lotus Notes
  • Willingness to train on or utilize SAMS-E, SARS, LMP, and PBUSE systems
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DA Form 348 for operation of forklifts, MHE, and government vehicles
  • Knowledge of proper use and care of hand tools and STTE in retrofit/deprocessing operations
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and operate in extreme environmental conditions in motor pool and field environments (OSHA compliant)
  • Ability to travel to U.S. military installations as required (travel requirement listed last per best practice)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, issue, and track bench stock, repair parts, tools, and Special Tools & Test Equipment (STTE)
  • Establish, update, and maintain manual and automated maintenance management system records
  • Perform HAZMAT shelf-life surveillance and compliance management
  • Generate and manage Reorder / Reorder Point (RO/ROP) reports for inventory control
  • Conduct location accountability surveys and inventories, posting results to stock records
  • Maintain stock control and accounting records for Abrams platforms
  • Provide administrative and operational support to Tool Room personnel
  • Transport parts and supplies using forklifts, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), or commercial vehicles
  • Support field operations, including work in outdoor and extreme temperature environments
