About The Position

Arrow Electronics is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual that works well in a fast-paced computer and electronics distribution center in Reno, NV as a warehouse Logistics Services Associate Manager for 3rd shift 12:30pm-9:00pm. You will support the Logistics Team in directing the overall activities of the distribution center and interface with the supervisors of other departments to ensure an efficient operation, with maximum utilization of available human and material resources. Shift: Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm (Additional Hours/Weekends as needed).

  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment preferred
  • WMS experience including Oracle, a plus
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean and 6S concepts
  • Ability to easily interpret and use statistics in day-to-day decision-making
  • Basic statistical modeling
  • Project management concepts/principles knowledge a plus
  • Root Cause Analysis, Pareto and flow charts
  • Understanding evaluating processes and people to optimize product handling, product flow and layouts

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day functions of Logistics or Value Add team(s), ensuring goals are met or exceeded
  • Supervise day to day operation of assigned department/shift, within the distribution/value add center consisting of non-exempt tactical personnel
  • With specific direction from management and HR, participates in staffing, terminations, disciplinary counseling, performance management and development in conjunction with facility management.
  • Report and track team metrics, responding to internal customer inquiries.
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion
  • Participates in strategic planning and process improvement through CPI or Lean principles.
  • Receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised
  • Accountable for the results of small-sized routine support or production operations teams
  • Solves problems based on set policies and procedures
  • Ensures performance of department goals, including allocation of headcount and process improvements to analyze and improve efficiency.
  • Responsible for performance efficiency, service level, time worked, quality reporting and improvement, performance metrics, performance tracking, and overall associate engagement.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work 40+ hours per week and some Saturdays
  • Will manage a team of 15+ employees
