Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Within commutable distance to Wilson, NC.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Commerce, IT or Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable skills with MS Office, SAP, LES/MES, IMEL, Open+ or Lean methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage the Internal Logistics Department to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective material delivery across the manufacturing area.
  • Oversee all internal movement of Leaf, DIMs/Semis, Finished Goods (including PMIM, Domestic, and TPM, where applicable), and Waste Disposal.
  • Ensure continuous operations and adherence to company policies, industry practices, and legal requirements.
  • Lead and control all internal logistics operations to support uninterrupted manufacturing, including warehousing (First Arrival Warehouse, if applicable) and waste removal.
  • Monitor and optimize material flow, ensuring timely delivery and environmentally responsible disposal.
  • Track and analyze logistics KPIs to meet budgetary goals and internal business targets; implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage third-party logistics service providers (LSPs) to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery and superior customer service.
  • Monitor LSP performance in line with contractual agreements and PMI standards.
  • Conduct regular KPI reviews and collaborate with LSPs to exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Drive productivity through internal analysis and external benchmarking.
  • Set and enforce improvement targets for logistics teams and providers.
  • Support new business initiatives by evaluating impacts on logistics infrastructure (warehouses, systems, and product flows).
  • Ensure optimal use of systems and resources to balance cost, quality, service, safety, and security.
  • Lead deployment and sustainability of the OPEN+ methodology within the department.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with local safety laws, fire and hygiene regulations, and PMI policies.
  • Conduct regular safety and housekeeping audits to maintain product integrity and warehouse standards.
  • Propose and enforce corrective measures for identified compliance gaps.
  • Organize processes and evaluate workplace risks in line with Sustainability policies and legal standards.
  • Facilitate safety training, risk assessments, and job procedure improvements in cooperation with the Sustainability department.
