The Logistics Scheduling Associate at Lincoln Electric is responsible for managing the routing and shipment creation for various modes of transportation. This role focuses on developing processes and metrics to enhance team efficiency and ensure the prompt movement of shipments. The associate will coordinate with transportation providers, handle shipping errors, prepare necessary documentation, and respond to inquiries from customers and company personnel.

  • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure efficient and prompt movement of shipments.
  • Convert deliveries into shipments in a timely fashion for all modes of transportation.
  • Track and correct shipping errors.
  • Prepare bill of lading and invoices.
  • Make expedited shipping arrangements when necessary.
  • Respond to customer and company personnel inquiries or refer them to the proper channels.
  • Follow up with transportation providers on missed pickups or deliveries.
  • Create custom documents for border clearance for Canadian truck loads, LTL & UPS.
  • Help with customer preferred routing and scheduling - Amazon / Grainger.
  • Work directly with customer, sales offices and order department on discrepancies.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed by Management.
  • Generate Proforma Invoices and Canada Custom invoice for international truck building.
  • Implement solutions to improve customer service, material flow, and reduce costs.
  • High School graduate
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Six Sigma certifications preferred
  • Hazmat Training and Certification for IATA, IMDG and DOT preferred
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn Warehouse Management System, SAP, Data 2 logistics
  • Ability to perform extremely detailed work at a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to train and issue instructions to department personnel
  • An uncompromising regard for quality and customer service is imperative
  • Ability to lead employees with questions, problems and getting product shipped
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Familiarity with shipping regulations and compliance
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
