The Logistics Risk Specialist works within the Garda Security Operations Center (SOC), collectively responsible for 24/7/365 safety and security of transportation logistics across the United States. This critical role involves active utilization of CCTV systems, reviewing and escalating vehicle alarm events, overseeing logistics compliance, mitigating logistics risk, and responding real-time to security & security incidents.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet the company's hiring criteria. Extensive pre-employment background checks are required. Drug tests and other testing may be required.
  • High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree or comparable combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years, Physical Security, Security Operations Center, Logistics Monitoring, or Security Systems experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with local teams and senior management.
  • Experience with supply chain risk management and logistics security.
  • An analytical mind that can solve complex issues while remaining data informed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain organized.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet any established deadlines.
  • Experience using enterprise applications such as Case Management Systems, Fleet Management Systems, Excel, and the O365 Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and oversight of live CCTV feeds from US facilities & vehicles using advanced monitoring tools.
  • Detect and assess security incidents promptly, including unauthorized access and suspicious activities.
  • Monitor and identify real-time transportation risk behaviors such as driver safety exceptions, route deviations/anomalies, and cargo security.
  • Coordinate transportation crews and branch management to resolve transportation exceptions.
  • Escalate incidents as needed to ensure timely and effective response.
  • Determine appropriate actions based on alarm severity and established protocols.
  • Ensure proper functioning of security equipment and systems, reporting maintenance and repair needs promptly.
  • Collaboration with logistics teams and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination between SOC programs and operations.
  • Document security incidents, response actions, and outcomes in detail by aggregating information and initial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records for management review and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in business continuity planning for disruptive events and after-action reviews to continually refine SOP’s, applying lessons learned.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for significant incidents to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as transportation security and compliance requirements.
