About The Position

Under the direction of the Logistics Quality Supervisor, this position coordinates quality and food safety programs and verifies documentation outlined in the Quality Monitoring Schemes and HACCP Plans. The individual in this role serves as the Logistics SQF Practitioner, maintaining HACCP and QMS programs. Responsibilities include oversight of the Hold Program, Logistics Quality Programs, Returned goods process, and product traceability. Additionally, this role supports the Logistics operation with Quality/Food Safety related SOP review/development and training needs, and coordinates Logistics internal quality/food safety audits for Logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality assurance and food safety programs.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and QMS programs.
  • Ability to conduct audits and inspections related to food safety and quality.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience in coordinating quality programs and training.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in SQF or similar food safety programs.
  • Experience with third-party audits and compliance.
  • Familiarity with ingredient sourcing and supplier quality management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality and food safety programs under the direction of the Logistics Quality Supervisor.
  • Verify documentation outlined in the Quality Monitoring Schemes and HACCP Plans.
  • Serve as Logistics SQF Practitioner, maintaining HACCP and QMS programs.
  • Oversee the Finished Goods Hold program to verify appropriate quantities and items are held.
  • Monitor landfill disposal/destruction products and documentation.
  • Conduct and support audits including Food Safety, Quality, GMP, and Allergen inspections.
  • Support internal and external audits of the QMS and integrated quality systems.
  • Interact with State, Local, and Third-Party Auditors during scheduled plant audits.
  • Provide Quality oversight of 3rd party programs.
  • Oversee Food Safety Corrective Actions, Returned Goods Process, GMPs, and Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Ensure only the most current and approved versions of control documents are available in conjunction with Document Control.
  • Inspect and sample incoming ingredients, packaging components, and processing aids according to established plans and procedures.
  • Oversee Positive Release Program and Corrective Action program for ingredients, packaging components, and processing aids.
  • Work with Buyers and Supplier Quality to ensure suppliers adhere to specifications and resolve issues with OOS ingredients/components.
