We have multiple openings for a 2nd and 3rd Shift Logistics Production Manager at our Sanford facilities. In this role, you will lead a team in improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. You will oversee and coordinate the activities of a complex production line, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards. Requirements

  • Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and improves warehouse safety, aggressively eliminates unsafe processes
  • Ensures production material is procured and distributed to meet production schedules
  • Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination
  • Determine overtime needs and priorities when resources are insufficient.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
  • Implements, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, and others
  • Actively deploys section value stream improvements
  • Develop and deploy standard work for each work area
  • Practices and teaches CPS Guiding Principles
  • Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members
  • Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
  • Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics
  • Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures
  • Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments
  • Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics
