About The Position

The Logistics Planner at DHL Supply Chain plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of transportation within the supply chain. This position involves coordinating inbound and outbound freight movements, maximizing service and cost performance, and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to meet customer delivery requirements. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 0-3 years of logistics industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective coordination of inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle service activities for all customer orders and manufactured inventory.
• Build and validate daily load plans through various systems such as EFMS, Topex, or TMS.
• Ensure carrier receipt of daily load tenders and coordinate appointment acquisition to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Communicate frequently with internal and external customers to ensure consistency in direction and expectations.
• Coordinate carrier pickup times and provide daily shipment plans to distribution centers.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to enhance financial performance and service levels.
• Identify compliance issues and participate in the metric feedback process, proposing remedies to the Operations supervisor.
• Supervise yard and shuttle service operations.
