About The Position

The position involves following all safety procedures, including the use of PPE as required, and responding to alarms while identifying and troubleshooting issues. The role requires maintaining neat and orderly staging areas, moving inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts. Proper documentation for materials, including batches, material changes, and material locations, must be maintained. The individual will assist with physical inventory and perform cycle counts, stage resins and components to work orders, and allocate materials to appropriate production areas. Daily cleaning of all Blender/Dryer filters and maintaining all Blenders/Dryers to ensure they remain full and operational is essential. Completing all needed paperwork in a timely manner, including lot changes, job verifications, and material verification reports, is required. The role also involves restocking materials, planning for timely material and color changes according to the production schedule, and communicating potential shortages to Warehouse Leadership and Production. The individual will verify back flushed materials, control scrap generated by production, perform line clearances outside of the clean room, and fill out inventory tags for restocking materials. Additional responsibilities include assembling cartons and containers, packaging and sealing molded or assembled products, verifying labels and product stacks, ensuring proper performance of equipment, cleaning and maintaining auxiliary material handling systems, and supporting lean and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse and staging areas, operating packaging equipment, and completing Total Productive Maintenance activities as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong math, reading, and communication skills.
  • Certified to operate fork truck, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
  • Able to frequently lift up to 55 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inventory best practices preferred.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications required and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cartons and containers using appropriate hand tools.
  • Assist with packaging and sealing molded and/or assembled product per company and customer specifications as needed.
  • Verify labels and product stacked on skids per lot information and product specification.
  • Ensure proper performance of equipment pertaining to resins and materials.
  • Clean and maintain auxiliary material handling systems and support equipment, including gaylords and grinders.
  • Maintain housekeeping of material loading areas and airlock.
  • Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report any out of line conditions or damaged equipment to Supervisor or Maintenance.
  • Retrieve packing material from warehouse.
  • Operate packaging equipment as required per product specifications and/or work instructions.
  • Complete Packaging auxiliary equipment (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance activities as needed.
  • Follow instructions as required per ID sheets and visuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
