About The Position

The position is responsible for understanding customer demand and the operational capacity of fulfillment centers to develop an operational labor plan that minimizes costs. The role involves leading and conducting day-to-day headcount planning, analyzing large data sets to optimize manpower and equipment utilization for hub and spoke sheds to meet customer demand. Requirements

• Knowledge of analytical tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment.

• In-depth understanding of problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1 year of operations planning experience with an emphasis in warehouse, fulfillment center, logistics, or transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop an operational labor plan with the lowest cost to serve based on customer demand and fulfillment center capacity.
• Lead day-to-day headcount planning and manage staffing needs.
• Analyze large data sets to determine efficient utilization of manpower and equipment for hub and spoke sheds.
• Forecast customer demand using historical and seasonal trends to inform labor planning.
• Interpret data for decision-making regarding labor planning for over 500 drivers at hub shed and spoke locations.
• Balance driver schedules in a Hub & Spoke Model to optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and orders per hour.
• React to live customer demand changes and provide guidance on labor or scheduling impacts.
