Logistics Operations Manager

Our Alburtis PA branch is looking for a new Operations Manager to join our Contract Logistics team. This position will be 1st shift - Monday to Friday 7am to 330pm EDT. The right candidate will How you create impact Reporting to the General Manager you will support production department managers to develop smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse for both shipping and storage.
Requirements
- Five years of management experience in a warehousing.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management discipline or manufacturing.
- Successful record of accomplishment in leadership and supervising the work of team members.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement.
- Previous Operations leadership in a distribution or manufacturing environment is needed.
- WMS experience of 2+ years.
- 3+ years working in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish long range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management with the support of the General Manager.
- Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
- Lead warehouse meetings.
- Collaborate with the management team to establish goals.
- Lead the operations of the warehouse Supervisory personnel to achieve prescribed goals.
- Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse to meet company standards.
- Support Production Department Managers to develop smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse for both shipping and storage.
- To set up the standard training program for all levels of employees involved in the operations and to train them
- Ensure compliance with all DC safety policies.
- Complete annual performance reviews.
