In the role of Logistics Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him to colleagues, volunteers, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public within the workplace, in the community, and before the general public. Responsible for the efficient and accurate packing of assemblies to meet the Emergency Medical Response (EMR) deployment requirements that are provided by the International Health Unit (IHU). Provide management supervision for all aircraft load building activities and ensures that all tasks are completed per the Mission Aviation Services (MAS) ground service manual. Lead the operational review, restocking, and overall readiness of all non-medical pre-positioned supplies and supervise the completion of any value-added projects related to non-medical pre-positioned supplies. Provide leadership in the area of inventory management, including timely and accurate put-away and management of all International Projects inventory, weekly cycle counting, and the annual physical inventory process. Provide management oversight regarding the maintenance and readiness of all aircraft load building equipment. Provide daily operational support, as needed, to the Incident Management Team (IMT), oversees the IMT Logistics Coordinators, as well as occasionally acting as the Logistics Coordinator on an IMT. Oversee the loading/unloading of all International Projects sea containers and domestic trailers. Ensure that all International Projects transportation assets are clean and prepared to support a deployment and that the International Projects staff truck driver is effectively utilized. Supervise any physical reorganization, storage optimization or cleaning projects in the Projects area of the WOW warehouse. Responsible for the preparation of all required operational metrics to track the activity levels and operational performance of International Projects warehouse activities. Follow policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual. Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers. Reflect Godly character by conducting activities in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Christian Code of Conduct, Statement of Fidelity to the Holy Scriptures, and Distinct Objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management with five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Previous warehouse and supervisory experience is a must.
  • The selected candidate must have a broad supply chain background, product sourcing, and international transportation experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of forklift and other warehouse equipment operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • General knowledge of domestic and international transportation.
  • General knowledge of hazardous material storage and shipping.
  • Working Knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). In addition, a working knowledge of data management and analytical skills to perform ad hoc analysis and create spreadsheets and reports.
  • Ability to coach and mentor other team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to take and give verbal and written directions and explanations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
  • Fluency in English (required)
