About The Position

The Logistics Management Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's logistics operations. This position will coordinate and manage the movement of goods, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain precise records. This role demands strong organizational skills, effective communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with various departments.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
Ability to handle high volume during peak demand times and manage deadlines

Nice To Haves

Basic Excel skills (sort, filter, data entry)
Familiarity with terms such as Freight, Bill of Lading, packing slips, invoices, ETA, ETD, POD
Some exposure to SAP, WMS, TMS, tracking systems
Previous experience communicating with carriers, vendors, customers etc.

Responsibilities

Use shipment tracking software to monitor the movements and statuses of shipments and generate reports for supervisor for On-Time delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to monitor inventory levels
Communicate with carriers as needed
Maintain shipment records in SAP
Compliance monitoring
Inventory support
Assist with damage claims and provide input for reports for management
Support delivery scheduling and perform logistics administrative activities
Verify invoices through the invoice matching process and report discrepancies to supervisor
Prepare logistics activities and monthly reports
Monitor warehouse and yard inventory levels and report weekly status to supervisor
Assist supervisor with tracking cost savings activities
Other duties as assigned
