Requirements

  • Certified in material handling equipment operation.
  • Ten (10) years of experience working in material management and warehouse operations.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years working Government contracts of similar size and scope to this solicitation.
  • Strong personal leadership, management and organization skills as well as the ability to integrate and harmonize diversified functions to provide overall efficient and effective contract operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Maintains sensitivity to, and report on, instances of fraud, waste and abuse.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and financial management skills.
  • Proficient at the suite of MS Office products and have proven communication, analytic and problem-solving, team building and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum of High School Degree.

Responsibilities

  • The Logistics Operation Manager responsibilities include leading day-to-day activities, formulating and enforcing work standards, and optimizing the use of materials and resources.
  • Serves as the SITE Lead for Material Management and cannot serve in other collateral capacities (QCM, Safety, etc.).
  • Oversee daily operations of logistics functions, ensuring efficient management of resources, materials, and personnel to meet contract requirements.
  • Develop and implement work standards, policies, and procedures to optimize logistics operations and ensure compliance with contract deliverables.
  • Monitor logistics activities, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, transportation, and storage operations.
  • Plan and allocate resources, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project and mission objectives.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor technical and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, addressing potential hazards and enforcing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with program management and other functional leads to ensure alignment with overall contract and organizational goals.
  • Monitor personnel productivity and performance, providing feedback and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, performance metrics, and resource utilization to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manages all Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Ensure all operators of powered industrial MHE such as fork trucks, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, etc. carry a current certification card which indicates that they have demonstrated proficiency in lift truck operations and are qualified to operate the specific model type (i.e. high-lift, rough terrain, etc.) and capacity of lift they are driving.
  • Management the operations and maintenance of a fully functional industrial support “Shredder” system, operating within design parameters, and in accordance with the contract and with the Operator’s Manual for the equipment
  • Manage the SITE Perimeter Warehouse (PWH). The PWH is the inbound/outbound shipping hub of the SITE where all deliveries are made and is approximately 22K sq. feet.
  • Maintain a Customer Service capacity at PWH to serve as the subject matter experts for all shipping processes to and from the SITE.
  • Ensure staff obtain web training from the NSA on proper security shipping and receiving practices to include tamper proof tape and banding.
  • Management the housekeeping functions to include sweeping and removing trash, hauling and disposing of used wood pallets and packing materials; power washing cargo vehicles and equipment of excess dirt and mud; ensure the general cleanliness and housekeeping of facilities and equipment
  • Management of receiving, storage, shipping, long haul transportation and security of material, cargo, packages
