About The Position

The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of products in and out of assigned TeamWorld facilities. He or she is responsible for the supervision of: Inbound Operations (Unloading and Receiving), Warehouse Operations (Put-Away, Pick-Pack, Break-Pack), Outbound Operations (Loading, Scheduling, Routing). The Logistics Manager works with the Plant Manager to develop strategies to maximize efficiency, utilize capacity, and reduce expenses. He or she is responsible for coordinating staffing and workload to ensure proper coverage and providing a premier customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years leadership experience, preferably in distribution and/or operations.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to be on-call at various times.
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed.
  • Needs to be certified on facility equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all personnel in the warehouse areas by establishing compliance with all company safety policies through education, periodic follow ups, and performance monitoring.
  • Work with the Safety Committee to find opportunities to improve workplace safety and implement best practices.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing training for all members of the warehouse team.
  • Create process and training documents alongside the Corporate Trainer to ensure comprehensive certification-based training for every role.
  • Conduct periodic skill audits on mission-critical functions to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Create development plans for the continued growth of each member of the team.
  • Track all open projects and initiatives, prioritize and communicate to achieve efficient results.
  • Set a high standard for overall organization and cleanliness in the work area.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of company resources, including labor, supplies, equipment, and scrap.
  • Monitor efficiency using KPIs to identify key opportunities and conduct analysis and training for continued improvement.
  • Coordinate labor needs between both Conklin Warehouses to ensure proper coverage and meet operational objectives.
  • Working with the Inventory Control Manager, assure a high degree of accuracy on all inventory counts, picks, and shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Create routines promoting consistency and repeatability.
  • Create a culture of open communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Lead by example, setting a standard of conduct in the pursuit of excellence.
  • Promote and demonstrate stewardship of company resources and a high degree of focus on the customer experience, with emphasis on delivery time, accuracy, packaging, and presentation.
