Job Summary The Logistics Manager in the renewable energy sector oversees the end-to-end movement of materials, equipment, and components required for solar, wind, battery storage, or other clean-energy projects. This role ensures that procurement, transportation, warehousing, and site delivery operations are efficient, cost-effective, and fully aligned with project schedules and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of personal computers and basic software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting related programs and protocols
  • Cost analysis proficiency to prepare and analyze comparisons and schedules using a company provided computer and standard company software
  • Impeccable attention to detail and delivery of high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Knowledge of AP systems is a plus, purchase order drafts, and traditional procurement techniques and methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of major equipment vendors
  • Strong understanding of import/export, customs, and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field and or Certified Supply Chain or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 + years of experience in the supply chain & logistics industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in logistics, forecasting, and equipment procurement
  • Experience working on multiple projects while prioritizing effectively, managing competing expectations, and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage logistics plans that support project timelines for construction, installation, and commissioning.
  • Work with Senior logistics manager and Arrowhead to ensure site services, tools and equipment required for the project are set up and scheduled.
  • Forecast material needs and coordinate with procurement and project management teams.
  • Optimize supply chain flows, including shipments from manufacturers, ports, warehouses, owner provided equipment and job sites.
  • Coordinate domestic and international transportation of large components (e.g., turbines, transformers, solar modules).
  • Arrange specialized hauling, oversize/overweight permits, and route planning.
  • Create a site logistics plan and provide driver handouts suppliers delivering goods.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, customs, import/export, road and site access signage, road permits/ limitations and environmental regulations.
  • Implement tracking systems to monitor material levels, delivery accuracy, and equipment readiness.
  • Reduce waste, loss, and damage through effective inventory controls.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, service-level agreements, and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate vendor effectiveness and handle issue resolution.
  • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, engineering, and procurement throughout project execution.
  • Provide real-time logistics updates, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure critical-path items are delivered on schedule.
  • Ensure all transportation and material handling activities follow company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Strictly follow and encourage safety culture with own and other site teams.
  • Ensure equipment operators involved in Logistics are properly certified/ trained to operate designated machinery.
  • Ensure all ground team members involved in operations are always following safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with renewable-energy project specifications and documentation standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance logistics quality and reliability.
  • Reconcile inventory receiving vs PO records in a monthly basis with Senior Logistics Manager.
  • Manage equipment requisitions rom site Management with Arrowhead arranging delivery schedules.
  • Will manage/ track equipment maintenance services in coordination with Arrowhead.
