EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in business management or a technically related field or minimum of 7 years working experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive knowledge and experience in warehousing, OSHA requirements, purchasing, inventory planning, supervision, and MRP systems. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years' management experience. Must be able to drive forklifts. A combination of education and experience will be considered. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively read and interpret blueprints. ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups of associates, management representatives, suppliers and customers. Ability to utilize computerized word processing and e-mail systems in the day-to-day functions of the job. Bilingual English – Spanish is a plus. Reasoning Ability: Requires analytical and problem-solving knowledge, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Certificate, Licenses or Registrations : APICS CPIM certification preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat or cold may be encountered. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Work will typically be from eight to ten hours per day, five days a week, with occasional travel, by car or commercial aircraft, for external meetings with customers. Must be able to travel on short notice both nationally and internationally.
