In this role, the successful candidate manages the systems procedures and means of procurement to supply the patient care units with standard items services and equipment. Analyzes utilization needs and practices; develops and implements cost containment and cost reduction programs. Responsible for projecting long range goals and implementation of new systems equipment and procedures which affect the operations of patient care areas. Participates in training supervision evaluation and deployment of the Sterile Processing Technicians and Coordinator who are involved in ordering and/or maintaining of equipment or supplies. Oversees the coordination of instruments standardization of surgical sets and procurement of related items. Manages scheduling and time keeping. Works directly with nursing and clinical areas to address issues and determine actions to correct equipment related PSIs.
