About The Position

In this fast-paced position, he or she will be primarily responsible for development and management of Daikin Applied Americas Inbound logistics strategies and activities. These activities include oversight of domestic truckload, less-than-truckload and parcel freight and import/export freight forwarding while collaborating with Integrated Supply Chain teams. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN What you will do: Develop and execute the strategic vision and plan for Daikin Applied, including Alliance Air Products inbound international and domestic transportation Develop and lead the ongoing strategy for operational excellence and growth in the logistics, material handling, and delivered quality of all inbound shipments Lead sourcing strategies for logistics service providers Develop and implement projects to improve inbound logistics quality, service, and cost Develop KPIs to monitor logistics processes Maintain and share broad knowledge of worldwide market trends related to logistics, regulatory environment, currency fluctuations and other relevant cost factors that may affect supply chain Coordinate and interface with various functions including Integrated Supply Chain, IT, HR, and Finance to ensure the appropriate resources are available and aligned business objectives Lead vertically and collaborate horizontally, fostering harmonious relationships that transcend the organization Other duties as assigned What’s in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics (manufacturing environment preferred) Strong high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) Preferred Qualifications: Outstanding relationship management, confident, well developed interpersonal & problem-solving skills Strong background in domestics and international logistics ideally within a complex, manufacturing environment Demonstrated example of taking initiative with a solid work ethic Exceptional communication skills, well developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls is $100,800.00 - $166,700 in Minnesota. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Strong high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
