About The Position

The Logistics Manager at U.S. Venture, Inc. is responsible for driving profit by optimizing the utilization of the organization's assets and managing the movement of raw and finished goods. This role focuses on reducing costs and improving logistics capabilities through data-driven decision-making and effective management of logistics operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Leadership skills to set goals and motivate employees.
• Excellent analytical skills to analyze data and draw insights.
• Effective communication skills for professional and persuasive communication.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of experience in the logistics or transportation field within a business setting.
• Professional or personal experience with the Lubricant industry.

Responsibilities

• Use available data to support all decisions and demand better, faster, and/or more detailed data to improve logistics capabilities.
• Set in place a distribution model to optimize support among facilities for customer needs.
• Optimize physical assets for geographic location and activity to maximize usage.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound movement of goods for maximum savings per mile.
• Select transportation suppliers and negotiate favorable terms on price, delivery, and quality.
• Manage a team of dispatchers to ensure efficient last-mile logistics.
• Champion continuous improvement and quality control efforts to innovate and improve efficiency.
• Continuously learn and develop professionally.
• Support corporate efforts for safety, compliance, and company policies.
