About The Position

LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-24201): Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). The Logistics Management Specialist shall be experienced in DOD Logistics, Configuration Management (CM), Acquisition, Quality, Records Management and Program Support in the Electro-Optic Technology Division (LXN), Electro-Optic Product Branch (LXNP) of the Sensor Integration and Technology Department. The candidate must provide innovative, well designed, and integrated approaches for logistics, configuration and data management support for EO/IR projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree with 1-5 years of professional experience in government document control, knowledge of government operating procedures and requirements
  • Competent using Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Good interpersonal skills and judgment with the ability to work well alone or as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
  • Must currently hold security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IPS Lead in developing innovative integrated approaches for logistics, configuration and data management support for EO/IR projects and provide back-up support as needed for tasking including procurement or material movement.
  • Assist the government lead in the planning, execution, integration and oversight of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities and projects
  • Possess an excellent operational knowledge and experience in the Government's Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM)
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and experience working the five (5) CM elements: CM Management and Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control (including Change Management), Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification & Audit.
  • Apply Logistics expertise and assist in process improvements and solutions.
  • Assist the IPS Lead in logistics, configuration and data management support for EO/IR projects and provide back-up support as needed for tasking including procurement or material movement.
  • Perform as back-up in the management of multiple EO/IR Technical Data Packages (TDPs), creating or updating existing TDPs in the Government iPDM tool
  • Perform other Logistics and CM duties as assigned
