About The Position

This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Cyber Center of Excellence in Miami, Florida.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance eligibility.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to maintain a valid driver's license and operate a government vehicle.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to travel for duty up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for internal and external issues that impact on the regulatory, technical, and operational aspects of U.S. Army logistics systems within the supported command and its joint area of operations.
  • Performs contract administrative functions in the development, oversight, control, and evaluation of contracts utilized to procure services, equipment, and systems.
  • Assists the primary hand receipt holder in all aspects of property management and accountability, input to property database management systems, and coordination of logistical-related matters.
  • Reviews completed purchase orders, requisitions, etc., for adherence to procurement regulations, policies, and procedures and for use of good judgment in selection of source of supply, best offers, etc.
  • Performs contracting officer representative (COR) duties in accordance with the appointment letter for each contract and in accordance with federal, Department of Defense, and applicable regulations, policy, and guidance.
  • Assists in developing service contract requirements, justifications, independent cost estimates, and market research and ensures that all contract documents transmitted are complete, accurate, and in the proper format.
  • Conducts asset inventory management functions and ensures all transactions affecting the organization's accountable records are coordinated and forwarded to the servicing Property Book Office (PBO).
  • Provides oversight, management, and daily task assignment to assigned warehouse personnel.
