About The Position

The Logistics Management Specialist is responsible for the development, execution, and evaluation of support services contracts for the Logistics Readiness Squadron. This role involves senior technical administration of installation logistics service contracts, budget formulation, oversight of compliance programs, and providing guidance to squadron leadership on business processes and performance.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in other pay systems.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of logistics principles, policies, practices, and regulations applicable to materiel management and transportation.
  • Knowledge of Air Force inspection system processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of DOD and service-specific regulations to provide technical guidance in support of logistics programs.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
  • Skill to prepare and present oral and written presentations effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government purchase card (GPC) management.
  • Knowledge in financial management and unit budgeting requests.
  • Experience with IG Wing Inspection Team and supporting senior leaders in goal tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Perform senior technical administration of all installation logistics service contracts for materiel management, vehicle maintenance, multiple transportation, and water port operations.
  • Formulate squadron annual budget requirements and anticipated reimbursements for installation logistical services.
  • Review and analyze budget reports involving execution of direct and reimbursable funds and initiate corrective actions when problems are detected.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and direct activities relating to Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) for unit compliance, government Quality Assurance, and Self-Assessment Program management.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the LRS and provide advice and guidance to the squadron leadership on business processes and performances.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain the unit's readiness inspection program.
