About The Position

This position serves as an Logistics Management Specialist (Quartermaster), DE-0346-03 in Army Futures Command (AFC), U.S. ARMY FUTURES & CONCEPTS CENTER REQUIREMENTS DIVISION located in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia.

Requirements

• Secret security clearance required.
• Business travel (TDY) may be required up to 20% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert on cargo aerial delivery / airdrop equipment and respond to requests for assistance, technical guidance on a regular and recurring basis.
• Communicate clearly and logically in writing; be able to develop briefings and brief leadership at the O-6 through O-9 level.
• Define and document capability gaps, operational requirements, operations and organizations (OandO) DOTMLPF-P analysis, and Quartermaster competencies specifically related to cargo airdrop and sling load.
• Develop Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Army Capability Integration and Development System (ACIDS) documents in support of cargo aerial delivery / airdrop and Sling-load mission areas.
• Maintain cognizance of other Service Cargo Aerial Delivery efforts, and share information on our development efforts with them on a recurring basis.
• Must be able to travel and represent the Sustainment CDID in support of program meetings; fielding of new equipment; supporting evaluation of new capabilities at test events and demonstration / experimentation events.
