About the position

As a Logistics Management Analyst embedded with a SOF GLSS Program Team in Lexington, KY, you will play a crucial role in coordinating logistics requirements and translating them into actionable plans within the Enterprise. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the Task Order Manager and supported customers to ensure their logistics needs are met effectively. This involves a variety of tasks such as warehousing support, transportation and movements support, in-house repair, and disposal services. You will be responsible for managing customer requirements related to receiving, storing, issuing, pulling, packing, shipping, and disposing of materials. Additionally, you will handle catalog support and field return support, ensuring that all requisitions and trouble tickets are processed efficiently. Your role will require you to develop a comprehensive understanding of business principles, concepts, practices, and standards as they relate to logistics management. You will work with various Department of Defense (DOD) systems and will be expected to navigate three Inventory Management Systems: GOLDesp, DPAS, and SAP. A solid understanding of the DOD cataloging process and logistics terminology is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret technical orders and illustrated parts manuals. In this position, you will also coordinate Life Cycle Sustainment Management by providing logistical support to the program, which includes scheduling shipments or pickups and completing necessary documentation for both CONUS and OCONUS shipments. Monitoring and status reporting of material movement will be part of your duties, along with managing incoming materials and addressing any discrepancies that may arise. You will also be responsible for managing equipment coming from the field through the Repair and Return process and coordinating the manufacture and application of UID labels to specified equipment and kits. Your ability to work effectively with the PMO and internal functional areas will be critical in resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Task Order Manager and supported Customers on their logistics requirements and translating those requirements into actions within the Enterprise.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to fulfill logistics requirements including warehousing support, transportation and movements support, in-house repair, and disposal.
  • Support customer receive, store, issue, pull/pack/ship, and dispose requirements.
  • Perform analyses, prepare reports to validate supply obligations, monitor expenditures, and provide estimates.
  • Develop and maintain a complete understanding and application of business principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Work with DOD systems and within three Inventory Management Systems - GOLDesp, DPAS, and SAP.
  • Understand DOD cataloging process and DOD logistics terminology.
  • Read and interpret technical orders and illustrated parts manuals and drawings.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Task Order/Customer equipment and material.
  • Coordinate Life Cycle Sustainment Management by providing logistical support to the program.
  • Monitor and status material movement and provide documentation for property transfers.
  • Manage incoming material, assist with purchase requests, and address discrepancies.
  • Complete SSAVIE requisitions and trouble tickets submitted by users in the field.
  • Manage all equipment incoming from the field through the Repair and Return process.
  • Coordinate and manage the manufacture and application of UID labels to specified equipment/kits.
  • Work effectively with the PMO and internal functional areas to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn DoD logistics systems, processes, and terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software programs for research, document creation, and presentations.
  • Experience with applying spreadsheet/database techniques for extracting, querying, and analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
