The Logistics Loader is responsible for preparing finished product for packaging and shipment. This includes inventory management, shipping and receiving functions as well as forklift operation for material movements. The Logistics Loader is expected to participate in all health, safety and environmental programs and improvement initiatives. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conform to all plant safety and environmental policies, accepting responsibility for personal safety Work in, and comply with, cGMP and quality guidelines Package, prepare and load product for shipments as needed, based on demand Assess shipment needs against production volume and organize material inventory as needed, working with the shipping coordinators Load and unload product and packaging material through use of a forklift Apply proper package labeling and shipping documentation with regard to DOT and internal requirements Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and communicate with other employees using multiple methods of communication Participate on organization health, safety and environmental teams and initiatves, to implmenet solutions and improvements Maintain a high degree of motivation by being flexible, displaying good leadership, and being able to prioritize and make informed decisions to meet business requirements Experience / SkillsThe following are required: High school diploma or GED equivalent Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word Willing and able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders The following are preferred: Knowledge of distribution and shipping Understanding of DOT requirements Experience working in a cGMP facility Note: for consideration for the position, candidates must participate and be successful in an online assessment and/or interview, and must pass a drug screen, background check and physical exam.
