About The Position

The Logistics Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing domestic and international shipping operations while providing day-to-day leadership and support to the logistics team. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant shipment of products, effective inventory management, and adherence to safety and operational best practices. The Logistics Lead works closely with internal global teams, freight forwarders, and external carriers to support service levels, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Logistics Lead serves as a working leader, balancing hands-on execution with team coordination, process improvement, and cross-functional communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Experience working with ERP or WMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • Experience with international shipping documentation and customs requirements.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Experience supporting metrics, KPIs, and service-level performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments using LTL carriers, UPS WorldShip, DHL, and FedEx.
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices and customs paperwork.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders and ensure accurate and timely sharing of shipping documentation.
  • Prepare end-of-day shipping invoices and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Pull, pack, and prepare products for international orders, including shipments to Australia, Mexico, and Canada.
  • Participate in the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SOPs and training materials.
  • Support service-level metrics, KPIs, and daily operational goals, helping the team meet hourly and daily targets.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-based work environment focused on accountability, safety, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively up, down, and across the organization regarding logistics priorities, issues, and opportunities.
  • Process work orders and manage inventory transactions within Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Maintain daily operational reports related to shipping, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/WMS systems to support daily operations and reporting.
  • Follow and reinforce safety standards and best practices within warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable shipping and safety regulations.
